Upskill Fund works with various jail systems around the country to provide opportunities for men and women re-entering society from incarceration with software development.
Oftentimes it is extremely hard for our men and women re-entering society to be able to find decent jobs that will afford them the opportunity to earn an income that provides family sustainability. When this happens, it leads to many of our men and women to find jobs at or below minimum wage that is right at the poverty threshold. The unfortunate truth about this fact is that some of our men and women are having to find ways for basic survival and sometimes it leads them back to the system of incarceration due to lack of income.
This software development program gives our men and women an opportunity to learn an in-demand skill.
